Recent Signings

Not many to report, but one that could be huge down the road for Montreal. The Canadiens were able to lock up Sergei Kostitsyn to a three year deal. If they did not get him signed he would have been eligible to re-enter the draft. If they were unable to sign him there were all kinds of rumors buzzing about the affect it would have on his older brother Andrei who played for Montreal down the stretch last season. These brothers could have a big impact on the Canadiens and fantasy owners for years to come.

The New York Islanders have signed Andrew Macdonald, D to a three year contract. He is a prospect that was drafted in the 6th round in 2006. It might take all three years before he gets a true taste of the NHL. He will have no fantasy impact anytime soon.
