Blues and Bruins Deal

The St. Louis Blues dealt center prospect Carl Soderber to the Boston Bruins for goaltender Hannu Toivonen.

Toivonen will likely backup Legacy this season for the Blues. Soderber is coming off a bad eye injury and its unclear when he might play in North America.

The Blues soured on Soderber last season when he refused to play last year in North America. We all know the Bruins soured on Hannu after he struggled last season.

Toivonen has long been the source of trade rumors and congrats to the Bruins for signing him and trading him. At least they got something for him.

Toivonen could get the chance to be number one this season as Legacy never seems to stay healthy. Toivonen won't be much value in standard leagues, but if you have Legacy he is a solid insurance pick. Toivonen should be considered in keeper leagues as he has great upside.
